We have some news we're still smiling about. ECJ Cleaning & Construction Services has been named Best Cleaning Service in Modern Luxury DC Magazine's Best of the City 2026.
It's an honor we didn't expect, in a city full of exceptional businesses, and it belongs just as much to the people who put us there.
Here's the part that means the most to us. Best of the City winners are chosen entirely by the readers of Modern Luxury DC. Not a panel behind closed doors, not a paid placement. Real residents, homeowners, and neighbors across the DMV took the time to cast a vote.
That changes what this award is. It isn't a title we applied for. It's a thank-you from the people who have welcomed us into their homes, recommended us to a friend, and then went out of their way to say so publicly. There's no version of this recognition we would have wanted more.
Every year, Modern Luxury DC's Best of the City issue spotlights standout businesses across the Washington metropolitan area, from home and design to hospitality, wellness, beauty, fashion, and food. It's the magazine's annual look at who's setting the standard in the DMV, decided by the people who live here.
To every client who has trusted us with their home, every family who passed our name along, and everyone who took a moment to vote: thank you. Genuinely.
We're a team that measures itself one visit at a time, and a vote is a small thing to give. Knowing that enough of you did it for this to add up is something we won't forget. Our clients are the reason ECJ exists, and this award simply put that in print.

An award is a lovely thing to hang on the wall. It isn't the point.
What we care about is the same thing we cared about last month: showing up with care, holding to a genuine standard of detail, and treating every space we're trusted with the way we'd want our own treated. That's what our clients were recognizing, and it's what we'll keep holding ourselves to on every single visit, whether it's a first-time deep clean or the two hundredth week of a standing appointment.
